Dubbed the Italian Hitchcock, Dario Argento dominated Italian cinema in the 1970s and 80s with his films loved and admired around the world.
Argenton is best for such works as The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Four Flies on Grey Velvet, Profundo Rosso (Deep Red), Tenebre, Opera, Inferno, Phenomena and most notably, his acknowledged masterpiece Suspiria.
Argento has collaborated with the likes of George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead/Two Evil Eyes), Sergio Leone, Lamberto Bava (Demons) and Claudio Simonetti’s prog rock band Goblin.
